Kimbo Slice

Kimbo Slice is most known for his fights on youtube. He is Miami's own MMA fighter and a tough man to beat. I wanted to rep. my cities fighter by painting a Illustration of him. He has been given a chance to fight on UFC but first he must pass through UFC's own Ultimate Fighter first and prove that he has what it takes. Enjoy and I hope you like it. =)

A legend among legends

A legend that only comes once in a life time. It has always been said that music can bring people from all over the world together, Michael's music has touched many lives all over the world. If you liked him or not you knew who he was and liked him music and still do. He had such a big heart and has always cared more for his fans then his own self. We all have idolized him but he never saw himself as the greatest, he's always reinventing himself to please us his fans. The world has lost a true legend and Icon. A Icon that can't be duplicated. Michael thank you for being you and never changing for anyone. You showed the world how to love and to never hold gruges on those who want to hurt us but show them love rather then anger. R.I.P Michael Jackson, one of your biggest fans Sal.

I have always wanted to paint a Illustration of the man who I have admired my whole life. I've thought about it all the time and have always put it off to the side and said I'll get to it one day. After the shocking news today I think its time to work on it. I'll be putting my other projects to the side for now and work on a painting that would make MJ proud.

WIP (work in progress): Boomer vinyl toy

I am working on a 3D Boomer mascot vinyl toy. Right now I almost have the shape of the head where I want it. I will be modeling the character as if I was building the toy. His body parts will be modeled as if it was a real life toy but with some changes so that I am able to animate him. I'm still pondering if I should texture him when Im done modeling or keeping him white. I'm thinking more towards keeping him white with a little shine. We'll see when Im done.

I have a short story that I want to develope and its about a frog and a house fly. The house fly's name is Jit. I can't take credit for the name Jit because I didn't know what to call him at first and my friend Alexis said how about naming him Jit, I loved it. So Thanks Alexis Garcia =). The update isn't much but here's what I have so far, hope you like it.

If you may or may not know who Melina is I will tell you. Melina is a WWE Deva which is a women wrestler for WWE. She's not just a pretty face but a very strong and awesome wrestler. I'm a huge fan of WWE which you can tell by one of my old posts. My first post on blog was a few illustrations and one so happens to be John Cena. I wanted to paint a Deva this time so I picked Melina. I'm still working on her and hoping to finish. Like I said on my last post that I would upload updates while working on them. So her she is Melina!!!!

I've been back and forth with a few of my own projects. I'm always drifting off to another project while I’m working on another because once I have an idea I like to get started on it right away so that my mind stays fresh. The reason for this is that if I every drift away to another I am at that point where I can go back and continue without having to try and remember what I imagined.

I'm currently working on 6 projects. One project is a commission for a logo and the rest are projects for myself. I have two new illustrations, The El Americano project, a fly and frog project, and I'm also working on a 3D model of a vinyl toy that I plan on animating. I will keep you guys informed and post my progress in each one along the way.

El Americano: Character Design

El Americano is a project as for now working on my own. I'm on the stage of still developing the story behind this Masked American wrestler, yes I said wrestler! These are the concepts of the main character. I am very happy the way they are coming out so far. I will be posting updates with some more concepts as I go along.

Boomer: Character Design

Boomer is a character that I designed for a Theme Park forum called Orlando United. The owners and staff and I wanted a mascot that would represent the main Orlando Florida theme parks Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World. We wanted a simple and loving character that the members and guest can love and appreciate. They thought that I would come up with just a drawing that was colored but I took the liberty to go beyond and make him 3D looking and fit in more with the characters style that is now being stylized into today’s cartoon market. As many people who know me I’m a huge Disney and Pixar fan and also a computer animator, well I wanted to give a 3D feeling to the character without modeling him in Maya (a 3D program) so since I’m also a wiz in Adobe Photoshop, I painted Boomer using Photoshop.
